Ms, Mariana Chicu, Project Manager, Cybercrime Programme Office, Council of Europe Ms. Mariana Chicu is a Project Manager at the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe (C-PROC), which was established in 2014 in response to the need for enhanced capacity-building on cybercrime worldwide. C-PROC implements a number of projects aiming at strengthening capacities of the criminal justice authorities in fighting cybercrime and in dealing with electronic evidence, covering South-eastern Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, Latin and Central America, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean as well as MENA regions. C-PROC in its assistance ensures strong synergies between the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime and other common standards and the follow up and assessments by the Cybercrime Convention Committee of the Council of Europe (T-CY). Ms. Chicu has extensive experience in managing capacity building programmes. She holds a Doctor of Juridical Science degree in International Human Rights and Comparative Constitutional Law from the Central European University.
